THE TRADITIONAL WAY
Let us have your order by phone, fax, post or e-mail. We will deliver the goods as requested and invoice on despatch.

CONSIGNMENT STOCK
Tell us what you expect to use over the next planning period and we will supply sufficient for at least one month’s usage plus a generous safety allowance, but not invoice you!
Our representative will visit to monitor stock and ensure sufficient quantities are available for even exceptional usage. We invoice you for the goods that have been used. Consignment stock is normally supplied under a contractual arrangement with a minimum period of twelve months and three months’ notice. Minimum usage guarantees may be required for special items.

JUST-IN-TIME
We agree a schedule of goods that will be required in your business process. We hold them in stock and deliver pre-set quantities to you at agreed intervals. The schedules can be flexed to allow for variations in production levels. We invoice on despatch.

OUR TRADE COUNTER
Open to both the trade and public, our trade counter allows customers to call and collect goods at a time convenient to them, or simply browse our ever expanding product range.
Our expert and friendly staff are always on hand to offer help and advice on a range of problem solving products.

REMOTE STOCK MANAGEMENT
Stock management systems can be operated remotely. This is particularly suitable if you operate in a secure environment where visitor access is not permitted, or if you operate a number of branches under central purchasing control.
The operator will fill out a stock replenishment report supplied by Illingworths and then fax it us, we will then create a quote and fax or email to the buyer for an order number. Once agreed the goods are delivered for your operator to put away in stock.

KANBAN SYSTEM
The Illingworth kanban bin system provides a total material control service for all types of small components, consumables and fasteners with no involvement from the customer other than consumption.
The Kanban system is commonly used to improve procurement methods and reduce cost . Typically an O.E.M. will discard all small component suppliers, and source the items via Illingworths. Providing there is adequate usage, there are no limits to the product ranges.

KITTING
Illingworth kitting service offers customers the option to purchase multiple parts as a kit, which enables multiple part numbers to be booked in under one item number.
Our kitting operation is built entirely around the customer’s specific requirements tailoring to each individual customers requirements.

• Customer choice of how the kit is packed and what the kit is packed in.
• Reduced purchasing activity – one purchase order for all items within the kit reducing purchased orders placed.

OUR WORKSHOP
Our in-house workshop allows customers to access a packing facility, sub-contract assembly and wire loom manufacturers.
No task is too small and this facility allows us to provide a tailored service to suit individual customer requirements.
